There is no developer portal, no key, no docs page. The route people describe on forums runs through an agent account, and an agent account is a credit line with a person attached, not a data feed you can point a script at.

You can still read SBOBet’s prices in Python. This post shows how, and then shows what the numbers say about the book once you have them, because SBOBet prices very differently from the US retail books sitting next to it in the same payload.

One number frames the whole post. On a Brasileiro Serie A fixture two days out, SBOBet quoted 14 markets. DraftKings quoted 96. BetParx quoted 140. SBOBet was still the tightest sportsbook on the handicap.

Why there is no SBOBet API

SBOBet runs an Asian-style operation. It takes large stakes on a narrow menu and it does not chase recreational volume through affiliate widgets or public data partnerships. A US book publishes odds feeds because odds feeds send traffic back. SBOBet’s business does not work that way, so the feed never got built.

That leaves three options, and two of them are bad.

Route

What it costs you

What you get

Agent account

Credit terms, a human intermediary, settlement risk

Prices you can bet, no machine-readable feed

Scraping

Session handling, Cloudflare, per-region markup, ongoing breakage

One book, brittle

OddsPapi

A query parameter

SBOBet plus 350+ other books in one JSON response, with free historical price history

OddsPapi carries SBOBet under the slug
sbobet
. Sampling one fixture per competition across the top of the board on 7 August 2026, SBOBet priced 12 of 14: LaLiga, Eredivisie, Liga Portugal, 2. Bundesliga, Ligue 2, EFL Cup, Chinese Super League, Brasileiro Serie B, Liga Profesional, Leagues Cup, Austrian Bundesliga, Armenian Premier League. It skipped J.League and a UEFA Conference League tie that only three books had opened.

Down in the tail it thins out. Across 30 lower-division and amateur competitions sampled the same day, SBOBet appeared on 11. Pinnacle appeared on 20. If you assumed the Asian sharp goes deeper than Pinnacle into obscure leagues, the data says the opposite.

Other sports, five fixtures sampled each:

Sport

sportId

Fixtures with odds (7 days)

SBOBet present

Tennis

12

200

4 of 5

Handball

22

18

4 of 5

Ice Hockey

15

15

3 of 4

Volleyball

23

4

3 of 4

Basketball

11

67

2 of 5

American Football

14

8

1 of 5

Baseball

13

154

0 of 5

Cricket

27

100

0 of 5

MMA

20

32

0 of 5

CS2

17

46

0 of 5

Write your MLB and UFC code against other books. The response key is
bookmakers
, not
bookmakerOdds
, and
players["0"]
is a list rather than a dict.

hist = api("historical-odds", fixtureId=FIXTURE, bookmakers="sbobet,pinnacle")

for slug, book in hist["bookmakers"].items():
    print(f"
{slug}: {len(book['markets'])} markets with history")
    for market_id in ("101", "1072"):
        for outcome_id, outcome in book["markets"][market_id]["outcomes"].items():
            snaps   = outcome["players"]["0"]
            changes = sum(1 for a, b in zip(snaps, snaps[1:]) if a["price"] != b["price"])
            print(f"  market {market_id} outcome {outcome_id}: "
                  f"{len(snaps):>4} snapshots, {changes:>4} price changes, "
                  f"{snaps[0]['price']} -> {snaps[-1]['price']}")

pinnacle: 88 markets with history
  market 101  outcome 101 :   33 snapshots,   23 price changes, 2.51  -> 2.52
  market 1072 outcome 1072:   33 snapshots,   23 price changes, 1.793 -> 1.769

sbobet: 14 markets with history
  market 101  outcome 101 :   74 snapshots,    3 price changes, 2.44  -> 2.33
  market 1072 outcome 1072:  284 snapshots,  226 price changes, 1.87  -> 1.775

Over five days SBOBet moved its three-way price three times and its handicap 226 times. Pinnacle repriced both at the same rate. Count price changes rather than snapshots, because the feed records on a cadence and most snapshots repeat the previous price.

That 75-to-1 ratio is the cleanest evidence in the payload of where a book’s opinion lives. If you are building a steam detector or a closing-line study on SBOBet, watch market 1072 and ignore market 101. See the steam move detector for the alerting side of that.

Four things that will bite you

SBOBet publishes no limits and no
bookmakerChangedAt
. Both come back
null
on every outcome. Pinnacle published 600 and 780 on the same fixture. Null-check before any arithmetic on
limit
, and use
changedAt
if you need a timestamp.

The
bookmakers
filter is all-or-nothing. Ask for
sbobet,betway
on a fixture where Betway is absent and you get an empty response, not a partial one.

Duplicate feeds sit in the same payload. BetMGM and Borgata quote identically; so do BallyBet, BetParx and FourWinds; so do Caesars and William Hill. Dedupe on the price tuple before you average anything into a consensus. SBOBet is independent of all of them.

Pace your calls. One second between same-endpoint requests keeps you clean. Parallelising
/odds
across fixtures gets almost everything rate-limited at any worker count.

Where this leaves you

SBOBet is worth pulling for one reason: it prices the Asian handicap tighter than any sportsbook in the feed, on quarter lines most books never quote, and it tells you through its repricing frequency exactly which of its own numbers it believes. It is a poor source for three-way prices, carries nothing on baseball or MMA, and offers no props or corners at all.

So pull it alongside the rest. One
/odds
call returns SBOBet next to Pinnacle, Bet365, the US retail books and the prediction markets, and the comparison writes itself. Start with the free odds API guide, then cross-book Asian handicap and Singbet for the other half of the Asian market, or line shopping to fold it into a best-price scanner.

Stop hunting for an agent. Get a free API key and read SBOBet’s handicap in your next script.

FAQ

Does SBOBet have an official API?

No. SBOBet publishes no developer portal, API key or documentation. Data access runs through agent accounts, which are betting relationships rather than feeds. OddsPapi aggregates SBOBet’s prices under the slug
sbobet
and serves them as JSON alongside 350+ other bookmakers.

What sports does SBOBet cover on OddsPapi?

Soccer is the deepest by a wide margin, covering 12 of 14 top-tier competitions sampled in August 2026. Tennis, handball, ice hockey and volleyball appeared on most sampled fixtures. Basketball was patchy. Baseball, cricket, MMA and CS2 returned nothing across five sampled fixtures each.

Why does SBOBet quote so few markets?

SBOBet posted 14 markets per soccer fixture in every sample, against 96 for DraftKings and 140 for BetParx. It carries no both-teams-to-score, no corners, no player props and no alternate ladders, and it posts one or two handicap rungs instead of nine. The narrow menu goes with the pricing: it charges 3.17% on the handicap and 10.50% on the three-way.

Is SBOBet sharper than Pinnacle?

On the Asian handicap, yes, in this sample. SBOBet’s tightest handicap line ran a 3.17% median margin across five fixtures against Pinnacle’s 4.42%. On the three-way SBOBet was the widest book measured at 10.50%. Pinnacle also quotes nine handicap rungs to SBOBet’s two and covers far more lower-division soccer.

Can I get historical SBOBet odds for free?

Yes.
/v4/historical-odds
returns the full snapshot history on the free tier, up to three bookmakers per call. One Brasileiro fixture returned 74 snapshots on SBOBet’s three-way and 284 on its handicap over five days.

Does SBOBet offer in-play odds through the API?

The bookmaker catalogue flags
sbobet
with
liveOdds: false
, so treat it as a pre-match source. Build in-play features against books that carry live prices, and use the WebSocket feed for push updates.

{
  "@context": "https://schema.org",
  "@type": "FAQPage",
  "mainEntity": [
    {"@type": "Question", "name": "Does SBOBet have an official API?", "acceptedAnswer": {"@type": "Answer", "text": "No. SBOBet publishes no developer portal, API key or documentation.
